American Trust Earns National Honors; Bryte Named Top 100 Adviser

Dubuque, IA (Vocus/PRWEB) January 20, 2011

American Trust Retirement Planning Services was ranked among the top 10 retirement plan providers nationwide and designated Best in Class by Planadviser Magazine, published in November 2010 by Asset International, Inc. The publication is geared toward employment executives charged with providing income and benefits to retirees through investment.

The rankings are based on qualifying results from approximately 35,000 survey questionnaires the magazine sent in June, July, and August 2010 to defined contribution plan sponsors in its database and client lists provided by plan providers.

In the Micro Market, Assets $1 Million to $5 Million grouping, American Trust Retirement Planning Services was the highest ranking provider earning 12 Best in Class awards in 13 participant services categories, and seven Best in Class awards in 10 sponsor categories. American Trust earned service scores in the top quartile from both participants and sponsors, including first place nationally for average client participation rate, third place for clients extremely likely to recommend provider, and fourth place for percentage of clients with seven or more years of relationship.

American Trust Account Manager Ryan Bryte also was nominated for the 2011 Planadviser Magazine Adviser of the Year award and was named a 2011 Top 100 Investment Adviser in November 2010 by Asset International, Inc., recognizing him as a professional whose practice stands out in a series of quantitative measures. Ryan is part of a dynamic team of plan administrators who each scored highly.

The Great Recession had a profound impact on employers and their company-sponsored retirement plans, said Kurt Wedewer, American Trust executive vice president and division manager. As a result, the retirement planning industry experienced reduced employee participation and even suspended employer matches among some companies. Were extremely proud that our clients trusted us to help get them through the economic crisis. Skilled retirement plan advisers are vital resources to their plan clients. Talented guidance from Ryan and his associates are the reason 75% of our clients have worked with us for five years or more, and 70% for seven years or more. Given these uncertain times, our continuing plan-sponsor relationships are a meaningful indication of the dedication and commitment to service provided by American Trusts retirement planning experts and professional support staff, he added.
