FIRM OFFERS ADVICE TO 401(k) INVESTORS

BIRMINGHAM, ALOn February 1, 2003, Hewlett Davidson & Associates, LLC, a member of Raymond James Financial Services, enrolled its first clients in 401(k) Focus Advisor. This service provides specific advice to 401(k) investors through personalized recommendations. All investment advice is provided through Raymond James Financial Services.

The 2nd Annual GenX survey conducted by the Mainstay division of New York Life Investment Manager, LLC, revealed that, only 60% of todays GenXers feel confident enough to manage their own investments, down from 73% in 2001.

While the values of 401(k) accounts are diminishing, Hewlett Davidson has found a proactive way to endure the unpredictable market. Unlike a buy and hope strategy, recommendations are focused on reducing investment risk by using time-tested technical analysis employed by professional money managers. This provides various levels of exposure to each asset class and each investment offered at the appropriate time.

Most 401(k) plans offer asset allocation recommendations such as conservative, moderate and aggressive portfolios and it is left to the investor to determine which investments he chooses. In contrast, the 401(k) Focus Advisor approach selects and monitors the investments offered in an investors 401(k) plan to ensure investment risk is consistent with market conditions. As conditions change, the investor will be notified to adjust his allocation.

401(k) Focus Advisors customized investment strategy will answer these questions:

How should I allocate my 401(k) among

stocks, bonds, and cash?

Which investments should I use?

What percentage should I put into the

various investments?

Am I taking too much or too little risk?

When is there a need to change my

allocation?

Todays technology allows investors the ability to access their accounts on a daily basis. Some investors do not have the time, resources and/or knowledge to manage their investments regularly. Investors can now delegate their asset allocation and investment decisions to the experts.

Raymond James provides unbiased, ongoing advice to the investor based on his personal investment risk and age. An email provides a customized recommended allocation of the investments offered in his 401(k) plan. If there are any questions regarding the allocation, a Hewlett Davidson/Raymond James professional will be available to assist. The investor makes the final decision to implement the allocation changes.

Todays stock market volatility is causing unrest for most 401(k) holders. The Buy and Hold strategy is no longer the way to manage personal retirement accounts. Everyday proves to be another mystery of how the market will react and impact the investor. 401k Focus Advisor provides individual care and expert advice for the eager investor.
